About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Cardiology Specialist to join our team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of a specialist clinical service, providing expert advice and guidance to medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct complex investigations and procedures, including electrophysiology studies and echocardiography.
  • Provide educational support and training to junior staff, promoting the development of clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably within an NHS setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
