About the Role:
- This is a full-time maternity cover position initially for 6 months with a view to possible permanence for the right candidate.
- You will work 40 hours per week and be on call for 1 in 6 weekends, without any out-of-hours responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- You will actively participate in nurse consultations and engage in a range of tasks including surgery and first opinion duties.
- You will also contribute to providing excellent patient and client care, working closely with other members of the veterinary team.
Requirements:
- You must hold a relevant qualification in veterinary nursing, such as a Level 3 Diploma or a degree in Veterinary Nursing.
- Registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) or equivalent governing body is essential.
- Relevant clinical experience working in a veterinary practice or hospital is required.
- Proficiency in general nursing duties, including patient care, administering medication, and monitoring anaesthesia is necessary.
- You should also have experience handling various animal species, knowledge of animal anatomy, diseases, and treatments, as well as being positive, down-to-earth, and passionate about animal care.
