Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Hydraulic Modelling Lead who will be responsible for technical development and delivery of clean water hydraulic models, including model construction and calibration, model use studies, optioneering and analysis studies, to time, budget and the required quality. This includes leadership of modelling project teams delivering a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects, ensuring quality of modelling outputs and compliance with standards, specifications and governance requirements, and account management for commercial performance and forecasting of projects, and the production of bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical development and delivery of clean water hydraulic models, including model construction and calibration, model use studies, optioneering and analysis studies.
  • Leadership of modelling project teams delivering a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
  • Ensuring quality of modelling outputs and compliance with standards, specifications and governance requirements.
  • Account management for commercial performance and forecasting of projects, and the production of bids and proposals.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree-qualified background in a relevant technical subject, preferably with postgraduate qualifications. You should also have experience in water modelling using InfoWorks WS, Synergi Water or similar software packages, proficiency in MS 365 applications, advanced Excel and Visual Basic skills, working knowledge of GIS Systems, and deep expertise in hydraulic modelling and/or related water infrastructure areas. In addition, you should have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage staff at all levels, improve organisational effectiveness and a culture of continuous improvement, and build, lead and motivate a team both internally and in partnership with external clients, and provide technical guidance and mentorship.

Salary
The salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
