Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Atlantis Medical. As an Acute Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Occupational Therapy service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for an allocated patient caseload in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Support and clinically supervise junior staff, including rotational Band 5 occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and OT students on clinical placements.
  • Participate in service developments, audits, and service reviews, and work collaboratively with other health and social care professionals to facilitate timely and safe discharges and prevent hospital admissions.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and performance development reviews.
  • Contribute to the seven-day working rota.
  • Hold a minimum of six months post-graduate OT practice in a relevant clinical setting.
  • Effectively communicate the role of the Occupational Therapy Service to a diverse range of people.
  • Understand and apply culturally appropriate and accessible OT practice in a diverse community.
