Location: Covering Reading

Salary: £27,980.84 per annum

Full Time and Permanent | 40 Hours Per Week

We are advertising this Area Maintenance Technician role on behalf of our client 'City Facilities Management'.

Job Purpose:

This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a number of site locations. You will be the first line in all maintenance issues throughout your allocated sites.

  1. Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  2. Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
  3. Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
  4. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City management.
  5. Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
  6. Complete general repairs and maintenance to customer sites as designated by City management.
  7. Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems.
  2. Identify and report any maintenance issues or defects to the relevant authorities.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve maintenance objectives and improve overall site performance.
  4. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of maintenance procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in building maintenance is essential.
  2. Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, e.g. commercial ovens, dishwashers and microwaves.
  3. Quality of repairs and maintenance.
  4. Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy.
