Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Grid Systems Expert to join our team at Advance TRS in Glasgow or London. This exciting opportunity will involve supporting EPC projects across the UK and EMEA, handling subcontractor scopes, managing tenders, and overseeing contract awards and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of high-voltage substations and power grids, with a focus on ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Quality assurance and control of electrical grid designs, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with solar and energy storage systems (BESS) is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Regular office attendance is required for 3 days per week, with occasional travel to project sites as needed.
  • Guiding design standards, codes, and policies to ensure consistency and excellence across all projects.
  • Preparation and management of subcontractor scopes and evaluations, including bid reviews and selection processes.
  • Overseeing the delivery of EPC projects, from conception to completion, with a focus on meeting timelines and budgets.
  • Developing complex engineering solutions and calculations to meet the unique needs of each project.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Providing technical expertise and support to business development initiatives, helping to identify new opportunities and drive growth.

Details:

  • This role is likely to be outside of IR35, offering greater flexibility and autonomy.
  • The initial contract duration is 6 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
