Austin Fraser is seeking a highly skilled Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a pupil referral unit (PRU). As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to pupils with a range of needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans that meet the unique needs of each pupil.
  • Provide direct support to pupils, assisting with tasks such as reading, writing, and numeracy, as well as promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic success and personal growth.
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
  • Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting, demonstrating expertise in areas such as SEN support and pastoral care.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners.
