Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Process Controls & Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for driving meaningful improvements in automation, controls, and production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure Plant Performance:
      - Maintain plant and equipment to achieve budgeted uptime and speeds while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
      - Create PLC programs, update software, and manage faults to maintain high standards of equipment functionality.
  2. Manage Data & Documentation:
      - Maintain accurate system information within the CMMS, ensuring detailed fault history and resolution entries.
      - Develop software backups and implement changes in response to updates or compliance needs.
  3. Provide Cross-functional Support:
      - Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns promptly.
      - Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to resolve issues impacting plant performance, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Process Controls & Automation Engineer with a strong background in PLC programming and diagnostics. You should have proficiency with electrical systems, including COMPEX 1-4 for hazardous area compliance, and experience with IEC standards.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and professional development.
