Job Title: Internal Sales/Trade Counter Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Internal Sales/Trade Counter Assistant at East Kent Timber Ltd.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced trade counter environment, assisting customers with their timber product needs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting timber products and provide expert advice on product usage and applications.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up-to-date with new products and developments.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Perform manual handling tasks as required, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a trade counter or retail sales environment is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when processing transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move products as required.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
  • Saturday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.
