We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers looking to take on new challenges and contribute to the development of innovative high-speed digital electronics.
About the Role:- Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
This role will involve designing and developing high-speed digital printed circuit boards using the latest FPGA, Microprocessor, and interconnect technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that hardware designs meet system-level requirements and are successfully integrated into target systems.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Designing high-speed digital PCBs with advanced technologies
- Supporting the full hardware lifecycle from requirements analysis to delivery
- Fully documenting work products and providing progress reports
- Collaborating with multi-disciplined teams to solve complex integration problems
- Analyzing system-level requirements documents and applying them to hardware designs
- Schematic capture and design of high-speed serial communication links
- Hardware, firmware, and software integration of microprocessor-based designs
- A methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle
- Debugging, testing, and verification of new designs
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Significant experience in high-speed digital electronics design and development
- Strong knowledge of FPGA, Microprocessor, and interconnect technologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to liaise with suppliers and communicate effectively across disciplines
