Job Description

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Play Leader to join its After School Club, serving children from EYFS to Year 6.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities that cater to the varied interests and abilities of all children. This role involves maintaining a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to health and safety standards and behaviour management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Activity Planning: Develop and implement age-appropriate activities promoting creativity and learning.
  2. Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children, monitoring their behaviour and providing supervision during activities.
  3. Support Learning and Development: Encourage positive social interactions and personal development among children.
  4. Communication: Establish effective communication with children, parents/guardians, and school staff, providing feedback on children's participation and progress.
  5. Behaviour Management: Maintain a calm, supportive environment and handle behavioural issues according to school policies.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working with children and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The estimated salary for this position is around £26,000 per year.

This is a term-time only role, working 15 hours per week, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Wellbeing and Safeguarding Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for the after-school provision and must have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
