At Avery Healthcare, we are committed to providing exceptional care and experience to our residents and employees. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high standards of personal care and supporting our residents to live fulfilling lives.

Your focus will be on supporting residents with their daily needs, including medication management, personal care, and social activities. You will work closely with our care team to ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care and support.

We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our friendly and award-winning team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents and contribute to the success of our care homes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidate must:

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years' experience working in similar care environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
