About the Service - Housing & Homelessness Services

A safe home is the foundation for a fulfilling life. We provide support for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, as well as specialist accommodation and outreach services for rough sleepers, veterans, survivors of domestic abuse, women, and young people.

Our approach to accommodation goes beyond providing a roof over someone's head. We create a welcoming and flourishing environment that offers opportunities for growth and development. You can make a difference in the lives of our service users by supporting them on their journey towards a brighter future.

About the Job

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team supporting Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC). As a Support Professional, you will work with young people aged 16-17 to develop their independence and prepare them for adult life in a safe and nurturing environment.

You will have experience of direct work with young people, including support planning, child protection, risk assessment, referral processes, and housing management. We are looking for someone who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for young people and is happy to support them in their journey towards independence.

As a member of our team, you will receive training on all aspects of the role and participate in regular reflective practice and case management reviews. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through frequent 1:1s and a comprehensive induction into Changing Lives and Eslington House.

The biggest part of your role will be supporting our young people to develop their independent living skills and live flourishing lives. You will empower them to improve their life skills through the delivery of workshops or signposting to external agencies who can provide additional support if needed.
