We are seeking an Industrial Mechanical Specialist to provide essential support to our client in Kendal, ensuring the smooth operation of food and beverage production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and rectify faults in process, manufacturing, and packaging machinery.
2. Provide cover for holidays and sickness with prior notice.
3. Ensure compliance with GMP, health and safety regulations, and company standards in all engineering tasks.
4. Maintain plant and equipment to uphold high standards of engineering, quality, safety, and hygiene.
5. Conduct planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs, including installation and modifications.
6. Acquire knowledge of equipment operation to effectively manage parameter adjustments.
7. Collaborate with a team of 12 engineers, ensuring comprehensive handovers to the incoming shift.
8. Preferred familiarity with HACCP and COSHH standards.
9. Engage in training to remain informed about technological advancements.
10. Manage workload efficiently, seeking opportunities for improvement and performing ongoing repairs.
11. Respond promptly to plant stoppages and assist in planning and executing equipment modifications.
12. Undertake additional responsibilities as required in line with the role.
Minimum Qualifications:
ONC level 3 Engineering (or equivalent)
