The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the maintenance, design, and improvement of process control systems and safety systems for our top-tier COMAH specialist engineering client.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controls systems, instrumentation, and control panels design, with experience in the large production plant industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, live process plant, nuclear, hazardous live sites, and refinery process plant.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Maintaining and improving process control systems and safety systems for efficient and safe plant operation
  • Acting as Lead Engineer to ensure site safety, site maintenance, and support, and site development
  • Developing project work scopes and schedules of work after identifying plant improvement and capital projects
  • Implementing and designing new and improved process control systems and safety systems
  • Monitoring and managing budgets cost-effectively, including CAPEX and OPEX
  • Regularly reviewing Safety Instrumented Systems, documentation, and improving process control systems and safety systems in line with standards
