Job Title: Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Thornbury Community Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling our clients to live safe and fulfilled lives, achieving personal goals, learning new hobbies, and participating in community activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Support clients in developing and achieving their personal goals and aspirations
  • Participate in community activities and outings, promoting social inclusion and engagement
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality care and support

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months of UK-based experience in learning disabilities care
  • Confidence in performing physical interventions and restraint training
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and mental health conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including days, nights, and weekends
