Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Digital & Information Officer to join our team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our digital strategy, ensuring that our technology systems support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our digital strategy, ensuring alignment with our trust's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of our IT infrastructure, including the development and maintenance of our electronic patient record system.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that our digital systems are secure, reliable, and meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to our Board of Directors and Trust leadership on healthcare informatics and technology.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior IT or informatics role, preferably within the NHS.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems and architecture, including electronic patient records systems.
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies, including project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel to various Trust sites, as required.
