Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £52,000

Shift Pattern: 4on/4off Days and Nights

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Stirling Warrington in Birmingham. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing large industrial machines, including die-presses, vacuum/arc furnaces, plasma welders, and machine shop equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair industrial machinery, including hydraulic systems, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a heavy industry environment
  • Level 3 qualification and apprenticeship served (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience with hydraulics, gearboxes, conveyors, and cylinders
  • Able to fabricate and weld
