Job Title: Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Gloucester. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of service to our tax clients, managing the tax compliance process, and providing sound tax advisory.

About the Role
  • Deliver a high standard of service to a variety of tax clients.
  • Manage the tax compliance process, working directly with clients to handle queries and ensure HMRC deadlines are met.
  • Provide sound tax advisory, delivering technical information in an easy-to-understand way for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Review tax calculations and support tax planning.
  • Support the firm's strategic direction by scoping new business opportunities.
  • Liaise with clients as their go-to advisor, building trusted and long-lasting relationships.
  • Review efficiencies and recommend new processes to improve workflow and ROI.
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing supportive mentorship.
  • Set an example to the tax team as a proactive and hands-on Manager.

Requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified with several years' tax experience within practice.
  • Previous supervisory experience, with good people management skills.
  • Able to build a strong rapport with clients, being their go-to advisor.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills with a natural ability to inspire those around you.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound organisation skills.
