Job Opportunity

GKN Aerospace is seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to join our team on the Isle of Wight. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing and developing tooling solutions to support the production of complex aerospace components.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative manufacturing processes. As a Tooling Engineer, you will work closely with our manufacturing team to design and develop tooling solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop tooling solutions for complex aerospace components
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure tooling solutions meet customer requirements
  • Develop and implement Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve process efficiency
  • Work closely with the quality team to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards
  • Contribute to the development of innovative manufacturing processes and tooling solutions

Requirements

  • HNC qualification in an engineering-related subject or equivalent
  • Significant experience in tool design and development, particularly in the aerospace industry
  • Proficiency in CAD software, ideally Catia V5
  • Experience of addressing issues within the supply chain, internal and external
