At Austin Fraser, we are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Crewe on a contract basis for 6 months.

Pay Range: £30 - £35 per hour (inside IR35 via umbrella)

This role involves responsible for parts and supplier quality planning activities for priority 1 bought-in parts during both launch and series phases. As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will ensure delivery in line with design specifications and the achievement of VW group quality standards.

You will provide technical support and drive quality improvements at external suppliers to meet product quality targets.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive engineering experience in multiple commodities or as a specialist in one.
  • Strong background in automotive supplier quality management.
  • Demonstrated ability to mature parts and resolve technical problems related to parts quality from suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and custom applications.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical commodities or expertise in a specific commodity is highly desirable.
  • Experience in quality techniques such as statistical process control and problem-solving methodologies.
