Flood Risk and Drainage Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Specialist to join our client at their Swindon site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flood risk assessment and drainage strategy preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare detailed designs of drainage schemes for residential and commercial developments.
  2. Liaise with clients, council officers, and design team members to provide clear and coherent advice.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A relevant Bachelor or Master's Degree qualification in a subject such as Civil Engineering.
  2. Experience of flood risk assessments and designing drainage schemes using Micro Drainage and/or Info Drainage.
  3. Preparation of Reports for planning applications including Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy Reports.
  4. Knowledge of AUTOCAD and relevant planning and technical guidance.
  5. Strong numeracy, oral communication, and written English skills.
  6. Experience in all Microsoft Office packages.
  7. A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Experience of fluvial and pluvial flood risk modelling.
  2. Preparation of S104 drainage designs to secure technical approval.
  3. Supervisory, leadership, and mentoring experience.
