Eating Disorders Specialist Psychiatrist Opportunity in Lincolnshire

The Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust seeks a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join their specialist services division, focusing on adult eating disorders. The successful candidate will have a passion for developing eating disorders psychiatry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient-focused care.
Job Description
This is a full-time position with 10 PAs per week, including an additional PA as part of the recruitment and retention initiative. The role offers flexibility, with opportunities for job share, part-time, or hybrid working arrangements agreed upon with the Clinical Director for Specialist Services.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments of patients to identify eating disorder and other psychiatric psychopathology.
- Take a leading role in medical assessments, offering advice on investigations and liaising with colleagues to manage physical complications.
- Provide psychiatric and medical risk assessments and management to eating disorder patients.
- Liaise with children's services, social services, education authorities, GPs, and medical/psychiatric colleagues to offer comprehensive care.
- Implement local policies and guidelines, such as NICE ED Guidelines, MEED, and Local Pathways.
- Lead and work with team colleagues to ensure effective use of Routine Outcome Measures (ROMS) and ED-specific tools for better screening, diagnosis, and monitoring of treatment progress.
- Offer suitable therapeutic input to patients with eating disorders in various modalities.
- Supervise ED team colleagues in complex case management and monitor progress of psychiatric co-morbidities among ED patients.
- Provide psychopharmacological management to ED patients, adhering to NICE guidelines and monitoring their progress.
The Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the principal provider of NHS mental health services, as well as some learning disability, autism, and social care services across the county. With an annual income of approximately £120m and around 2,800 staff spread across multiple locations, the trust cares for around 53,000 patients annually and has around 200 inpatient beds.
