Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a supportive and proactive SEN school in Wakefield. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a wide range of needs, from complex needs to sensory behavioural difficulties linked to Autism.

Your Role:
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimize disruption.
  • Provide feedback to teachers and parents, ensuring a seamless communication flow.
  • Assist pupils with Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties, and other Learning Disabilities, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
