Austin Fraser is seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Permanence team in Oldham. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £42,310 - £46,435 per annum, plus a £2,000 retention payment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a social work degree or equivalent recognised qualification, with experience in accurate assessments and producing Care & Support Plans. They will also have in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and equalities and diversity issues.

Responsibilities:
  1. Review case notes, liaise for additional information, and evaluate support for newly qualified social workers.
  2. Undertake assessments of support needs and develop Care & Support Plans for Service Users, Carers, and Families.
  3. Produce, deliver, evaluate, and update Care & Support Plans to resolve social care, health, and wellbeing difficulties.
  4. Proactively handle Safeguarding issues and follow relevant policies and procedures.
  5. Identify, assess, and manage risks, and respond to crisis situations with appropriate legal intervention.
  6. Maintain high data quality on social care systems and ensure confidentiality of personal information.
  7. Participate in formal and reflective supervision sessions and professional development activities.
