Job Title: Net Zero Carbon Project Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to lead our Net Zero Carbon initiative. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, budgeting, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a Net Zero Carbon strategy for Voluntary Aided schools
  • Project manage Net Zero Carbon activities and Public Sector Decarbonisation schemes with VA schools

Requirements:

  • Good project management skills with experience of planning and monitoring large projects and budgets
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategy
  • Knowledge and expertise in carbon emission reduction
  • The ability to give sound advice and work with a broad range of stakeholders
  • The ability and drive to promote our decarbonisation mission and goals with Voluntary Aided schools

Working Arrangements:

This is a part-time role, working 21 hours per week with the option to work flexibly. The job is fixed term until 31st December 2025 with a salary of £22,740 per annum (pro rata of £37,900 pa FTE). The position is based at Church House, Hove with the opportunity to apply to use the DBF's remote working policy to work from home for part of the week.
