Cyber Resilience Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Resilience Lead to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our Information Security Team, you will play a critical role in promoting a strong cyber incident management and resilience culture across our organization.
As a Cyber Resilience Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a centralized oversight and coordination of identified improvements from post-incident exercises and testing. You will also lead effective planning of cyber incident exercises/testing through engaging with wider incident management and security teams, as well as external suppliers.
Additionally, you will maintain oversight of cyber incident management and resilience actions required for our regulatory submissions. You will also engage with external governing bodies and water sector organizations to encourage cross-sector incident response improvements.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent stakeholder communications/engagement skills, who can articulate confidential, sensitive, or important issues and solutions in a nuanced and balanced way. You should have experience in translating incident management risks, challenges, and solutions into quantifiable data/benchmarking.
As a Cyber Resilience Lead, you will have the opportunity to design and develop a maturity model to demonstrate the effectiveness of cyber incident management testing and exercising.
What You'll Be Doing- Establishing and maintaining Cyber Remediate Tracker, providing centralized oversight and coordination of identified improvements from post-incident exercises and testing.
- Leading effective planning of cyber incident exercises/testing through engaging with wider incident management and security teams, as well as external suppliers.
- Maintaining oversight of cyber incident management and resilience actions required for our regulatory submissions.
- Engaging with external governing bodies and water sector organizations to encourage cross-sector incident response improvements.
- Designing and developing a maturity model to demonstrate the effectiveness of cyber incident management testing and exercising.
- Ability to take a complex/technical requirement or solution and adapt communications to a non-technical audience so that the business impact can be widely understood.
- Excellent stakeholder communications/engagement skills with the acumen to articulate confidential, sensitive, or important issues and solutions in a nuanced and balanced way.
- Experience in translating incident management risks, challenges, and solutions into quantifiable data/benchmarking.
- Ability to apply original and innovative thinking to produce new ideas.
- Extent experience leading cyber incident response efforts within organizations that rely on both information and operational technology.
- Experience of developing and maintaining incident management plans, procedures, and policies.
- Knowledge and experience in Cyber Resilience or Incident Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, industry standards/best practices.
We offer a competitive salary from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience, annual leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays), contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution, personal medical assessments – Open to all once a year, and a wider benefits scheme including our benefits hub, which is packed full of offers and information to save you money and support your wellbeing.
