Veterinary Surgeon

Maldon Vets for Pets is a well-established veterinary practice located in the picturesque Heybridge basin. With easy access to London, our team offers a unique blend of rural and urban experiences.

We have been serving the local community for over a decade, providing high-quality medical care to animals. Our team comprises experienced professionals who work closely together to deliver exceptional results.

• 5 knowledgeable and friendly Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
• 1 student RVN
• 2 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs)
• 5 receptionists
• 2.5 veterinary surgeons, including a year 2 graduate

We work collaboratively with a visiting certificate holder in small animal surgery, enabling us to tackle a wide range of cases.

• Neutering
• Mass removals
• Dentistry
• Basic ophthalmic surgery
• Emergency surgery, including pyometra, c-sections, foreign bodies, and cystotomies
• Surgical and non-surgical wound management

We have in-house laboratory capabilities and diagnostics, including ultrasound, digital x-ray, and multiparameter monitoring.

We are seeking an experienced small animal vet who is confident handling routine medical and surgical cases. The ideal candidate will be looking to progress in their career and take on new challenges.

Vets typically work between 9am and 7pm, consolidating their hours to fulfill a 4-day working week, with a 1:4 weekend rota. Bank holiday cover is shared among the team.
