We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tanker Driver to join our team at Biffa, a leading business in the waste management industry. As a Tanker Driver, you will play a critical role in the collection, transportation, and disposal of customers' waste, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to company procedures and health and safety protocols.
- Collect and transport waste from customers' premises to designated disposal sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any defects or issues to the maintenance team.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily timesheets and vehicle logs.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1/2 LGV license.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of waste management procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
