Interim Finance Process Improvement Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Interim Finance Process Improvement Consultant to join a local authority in the East of England on a part-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business teams to identify finance gaps and technical issues, understand unprocessed financial transactions, and develop a plan to improve financial processes.
- Recommend system changes, support testing and approval process, and define acceptance criteria for live implementation.
- Identify reports to forecast spend and monitor budget impact, recommend training solutions, and ensure timely issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Advanced financial expertise and understanding of scheme of financial management
- Liquidlogic and ContrOCC knowledge, including placements and costed activities
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- IT literacy and ability to utilise MS 365 products
The estimated monthly salary for this role is £17,500, based on a 3-month contract at £550 per day. Hybrid working arrangement applies, allowing remote work from the East of England region.
