About the Role

We are seeking a Personal Care and Assistance Role at Disability North. In this role, you will assist our clients with daily living tasks, promote their independence, and engage in activities with them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as household chores, meal preparation, and supporting with correspondence
  • Engage in activities with clients, such as walking in the local area
  • Support clients with daily tasks, such as heavy lifting and prompting of medication

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must be a kind and caring individual who can follow instructions given by the employer. Experience in supporting individuals in their home is essential, and you must always work to a person-centered approach. A sense of humor is a must, and experience of handling medication is preferred. Some knowledge of autism is also beneficial due to one child being challenged with Autism & GDD. You must be comfortable working alongside animals and have a valid driver's license (automatic car desirable).

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £12.50 per hour, and we offer a range of benefits, including enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references. This is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
