About the Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Design Specialist to join our Net Zero (EV) team, responsible for designing and installing rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers and associated electrical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting site visits to assess project feasibility and identifying potential high and low voltage system issues;
  • Reviewing project requirements and specifications to ensure designs meet industry standards and regulations;
  • Managing and tracking design pipelines through to pricing and construction;
  • Ensuring instructed projects are tracked against key milestones to facilitate accurate forecasting of work and resources;
  • Maximising revenue and profit from customer contracts by identifying opportunities for cost savings and additional chargeable activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently;
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to support construction and commissioning teams during project implementation;
  • Robust skills in preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and bills of materials;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Full driving license.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum five years experience analysing end-user electrical load requirements and designing systems;
  • Experience working with organisations involved in HV & LV electrical distribution networks;
  • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices;
  • Understanding of the EV infrastructure industry, including trends, suppliers, and market conditions;
  • Experience using project management software and CAD software.
