To achieve this, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accounts and tax returns for our clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies. This will involve communicating with clients via various channels, including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
You will also be responsible for onboarding new clients, integrating them into your portfolio, and ensuring that all necessary bookkeeping and compliance tasks are completed. Additionally, you will assess and advise clients on their tax position, providing guidance on how to optimize their tax efficiency.
Other key responsibilities will include maintaining electronic filing of books and records, managing client administration and records, and participating in activities necessary to support the smooth running of our office environment. You will also be expected to maintain your professional development and learning, including any relevant CPD required by your professional body.
Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all HMRC and Companies House statutory information is accurate and up-to-date. This will involve attending networking events and participating in internal and external training as required.
Key skills and qualifications required for this role include a sound tax knowledge, experience working in accounting practice within the last 2 years, and a good standard of verbal and written English. Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Word, are also essential. A sound working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero is desirable.
