Job Title

A skilled Night Shift Painter Position is available at Brodie Engineering, a leading rolling stock engineering business in Scotland.

We provide mobile services to the UK rail and light rail sector from our depots.

About the Role

This night shift painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, smoothing out imperfections, applying masking tape, and protecting areas not being painted.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clean and prepare surfaces by removing dirt, grease, and old paint.
  • Sand surfaces to remove imperfections.
  • Apply masking tape and protective covers to areas not being painted.
  • Assist with paint application when necessary.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for sanding and cleaning.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects when required.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with power tools for surface preparation.
What We Offer

A highly competitive salary of £13.83 per hour dependent on experience, plus overtime and nightshift allowance, along with a comprehensive benefits package including EAP, private medical insurance, contributory pension scheme, and other employee benefits.

Estimated Salary Range:

£27,000 - £35,000 per annum (based on 40 hours/week), depending on experience.
