About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Yorkshire Water, a leading water company in the UK. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in helping us deliver exceptional service to our customers while protecting the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cutting-edge data science solutions to drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance our understanding of performance, assets, customers, and risk through data-driven insights.
  • Provide expert-level data analytics support to the business, promoting the data capability and delivering training opportunities at all levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science, ensuring our solutions are innovative and effective.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in developing data science solutions in a commercial context.
  • Expert-level skills in one or more core programming languages for data science (R, Python, SQL).
  • Knowledge of software development frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, SAFe Dev Ops).
  • Valid UK driving license.
