Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Legal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Commercial Legal team in London, UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing legal support and guidance to our business stakeholders, particularly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to senior management on commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage the legal aspects of transactional activity, including drafting and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the M&A, Liberty Technology, and Ventures teams, to ensure seamless execution of commercial transactions.
  • Collaborate with external counsel and other professional advisers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of legal services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Deep understanding of commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and contract law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
