Job Description

McCulla Ireland Limited is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Director to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of our business, maximizing current multi-site warehousing operations, and expanding for future growth. As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively with department heads to develop and deliver key operational strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and execute the warehouse operations strategy across multiple sites in line with company goals.
  • Oversee all warehouse operational activities, evaluating performance and reporting directly to the Managing Director.
  • Maximize quality and operational efficiency through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Develop a strong team culture through coaching and mentoring, focusing on building talent and abilities.
  • Oversee operations and compliance within our end-to-end supply chain and with customers.
  • Develop and implement operational systems and processes for visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles.
  • Deliver key budgetary performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Identify and deliver profit margin gains across warehousing operations.
  • Lead the effective use of capital investment projects across warehouse sites.
  • Responsibility for stock management across all sites, ensuring accuracy and integrity of customer products.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve quality standards and maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
  • Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Head of Operations role with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Warehousing Operations.
  • Experience of P&L management across operations.
  • Strong understanding and experience of end-to-end supply chain, operational KPIs, and management.
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, and employee management.
  • Strong problem-solving analysis, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Experience of working in a high-volume fast-moving environment.
  • Effective and engaging management skills, building a cohesive and engaged team.
  • Excellent IT and Systems Skills for running operations and warehousing.
  • Adaptable and Flexible attitude to work.
  • Experience with working alongside customers.
