Job Title: Clinical Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at Charles River Community Health. As a Clinical Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of primary care nursing at our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Clinical Operations to ensure smooth patient flow and daily clinical operations.
  2. Direct care areas include primary care, lab, and healthcare satellite extensions.
  3. Guide, mentor, and train new staff (RN, MA's) and ensure all staff have ongoing clinical support and in-services.
  4. Ensure the team is ready for audits and inspections.
  5. Responsible for weekly schedule edits in response to any last-minute changes.
  6. Maintain nursing/medical assistant guidelines by writing, evaluating, and updating policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain nursing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing workflows, operational and personnel policies, and procedures.
  8. Site Vaccine Manager, overseeing, coordinating, and tracking vaccine inventory and vaccination rates.
  9. Work closely with HR on performance improvement plans and other personnel matters as needed.
  10. Manage inventory and purchasing of medical supplies for the essential functioning of the practice.
  11. Support the maintenance and functioning of the medical equipment to ensure a safe patient and staff environment.
  12. In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, work on recruitment and retention of our mission-driven staff.
  13. Contribute to the development of future nursing leaders by coordinating preceptorship for nursing students from area colleges and universities.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing required, Master's preferred.
  2. Licensed in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse with 3+ years of experience in nursing with recent clinical experience in an outpatient medical setting.
  3. Leadership experience preferred, including evaluation, performance management, and training.
  4. Must have knowledge of Ambulatory and clinical practices, workflows, and operations.
  5. Good communication skills, particularly with staff and patients from diverse cultures whose primary language is not English.
  6. Willingness to support training needs for students, internships, and preceptorships, as requested.
  7. Experience with Patient Centered Medical Home model and concepts preferred.
