Job Title:

We are seeking a Special Educational Needs Assistant to join our team in Wolverhampton, UK.

Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children with their learning and general wellbeing, helping them reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment
  • Providing tailored support, including care needs and positive behaviour management, where required
  • Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils to ensure they feel secure and valued during their time at school
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated educational activities as part of a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Promoting independence and personal development while maintaining high standards of behaviour

Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN in either a paid or voluntary capacity
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above qualification (essential)
  • Level 2 or above qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable)
  • An understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a child-focused approach
  • A positive, proactive attitude toward meeting individual pupils' needs

Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of £25.67 - £28.17 per hour, based on a 40-hour week, term-time only.
