About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Incident Support Unit (ISU) team as a Depot Support Operative. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the M25 Motorway network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend incidents and work safely in accordance with agreed policies, method statements, and risk assessments to facilitate the prompt clear up of hazards/incidents.
  • Conduct debris and safety patrols/inspections, graffiti removal, carriageway repairs, soft estate maintenance, street cleansing/litter picking removal, sign maintenance, and cleansing.
  • Implement Emergency Traffic Management in line with policies, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Use mobile communication/data devices to accurately input data for record purposes to form reports and business records as required.
  • Raise awareness of issues which may affect the safe operation of the network and report these as observed.
  • Participate in Winter Service rota as required.
  • Attend training courses as required.
Working Arrangements

The role involves working on a 4-on 4-off shift pattern basis, which includes weekends, nights, and bank holidays. You will also be required to travel around the M25 network and between depots, as well as participate in out-of-hours working to fulfill Winter Maintenance.

Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence, minimum category C (LGV Class 2)
  • Driver Qualification Card
  • CSCS Operative Card
  • Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Highways Maintenance (includes License to Practice {LTP})
  • ROLO Sector Scheme 18
  • Unit 518 (formerly unit 13) Winter Service Operations and unit 580 (formerly unit 80) Snowplough/ V blade
  • Vehicle Marshall
  • 12AB Impact Protection Vehicle Courses (IPV)
  • Disc cutter/abrasive wheel
