Key Responsibilities

As a Contractual Services Director at Angus Council, you will lead our Contracts & Governance Team and provide expert advice on commercial law and contract matters to senior management.

You will have post-qualified experience in commercial law and contract work, with a sound understanding of a wide range of commercial law matters. You will undertake and oversee the provision of advisory work, ideally with experience of major projects, commercial contracts, procurement, state aid/state subsidy, public law and corporate law.

Your role will involve establishing systems to gather and analyse information, ensuring the work of the team remains focused and customer orientated. You will also support the development of efficient work practices and the implementation of digital service delivery wherever possible, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a full-time permanent position with flexible working arrangements and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
