Job Title: Mathematics Learning Support Professional

A Numeracy Support Assistant is required for a Primary School in Havering to provide tailored support, helping students excel academically while fostering confidence and a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, focusing on numeracy skills.
  • Lead targeted interventions to boost academic progress and attainment.
  • Assist both inside and outside the classroom, fostering development and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and professionals to ensure student success.
  • Promote positive behaviour management and a productive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • A 1:1 or 2:1 Maths degree from a leading UK university.
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • Confident and supportive when managing challenging behaviour.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with families and school teams.
  • Proactive, creative, and a team player, with a passion for education.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic school settings and work collaboratively.
