We're seeking a skilled Data Scientist to support our Mylo value-stream in Edinburgh. As part of this role, you'll focus on providing data, analytics, and insight to help achieve our goal of assisting existing workplace customers to maximise their savings.

This is a role where you'll have the opportunity to drive impact through analytics, champion data culture, and pioneer the use of data science within an exciting new value-stream. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the extraction, manipulation, and processing of core customer demographic, financial, and event data required by the Mylo value-stream from various data sources across Aegon.
  • Designing and building engaging and intuitive data visualisation frameworks/dashboards.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience working closely with business areas to understand analytical needs and deliver high-quality insight.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to relate complex technical concepts and data in a simple and understandable manner.
  • Experience in querying and transforming data through tools such as SAS or SQL.
  • Data visualisation skills in tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight.
  • Experience with the AWS tech stack, e.g., AWS QuickSight.
  • Data Science experience, such as developing and implementing machine learning and predictive modelling.
  • Programming experience, particularly in Python or R.
