Prison Clinical Pharmacist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, providing clinical pharmacy services to patients in prisons within the Devon cluster. As a Prison Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for organising the pharmacy clinical service provision, planning your work schedule and the wider team's schedules, managing the day-to-day work of pharmacy technicians, and making clinical judgments within your ability.
Key Responsibilities:- To organise on a weekly basis the pharmacy clinical service provision to the allocated prisons, planning your work and the work of others.
- To provide clinical services to the allocated prisons, ensuring high standards of work, both clinical and dispensing, following all standard operating procedures as directed by the Lead Prison Services Pharmacist.
- To work as a team with the pharmacy technician in the allocated prisons, supporting this technician professionally when on site, and ensuring all work is carried out in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the delivery service across the prisons.
This role requires a Master's Degree of Pharmacy or equivalent, registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council of GB, and a Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent. You should have previous prison/hospital/community pharmacy experience in the UK, experience of providing clinical pharmacy services, and at least 2 years' experience post-registration of providing clinical services within prisons or hospitals.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The location of the job is in the Devon cluster of prisons, which includes HMP Channings Wood, HMP Dartmoor, and HMP Exeter.
