Procurement Specialist for Housebuilders

Buyer Role
A seasoned buyer is required to oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractors for a successful housebuilder based in SE London. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Construction Director, QS's, Site Managers, and the wider team to ensure seamless project delivery.
About the Role
As a company buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the procurement function, working within established processes to achieve minimal disruption on site and best value. You will be the sole buyer within the business, reporting to the Construction Director, and directly responsible for materials buying and scheduling as well as assisting with subcontract orders.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced buyer who has worked for a medium to large housebuilder or contractor, with a good network of local suppliers and the ability to analyse drawings and suggest alternative materials. You should be comfortable managing lead-in times and motivated by adding value wherever possible.
