Engineering Insurance Underwriter Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Engineering Insurance Underwriter to support our planned growth and expansion of our commercial customer offering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and recommend underwriting strategies for our Engineering Insurance offering, establishing rules, terms, and risk features to achieve profit and growth objectives.
  • Work with our Propositions department and stakeholders to set growth targets and define risk appetite.
  • Translate underwriting appetite into workable rules, processes, and communications for NFU Mutual Agents and Underwriters.
  • Review and provide expert judgement on risk rates to ensure informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Underwriting or Brokerage, with a background in Engineering Breakdown Insurance.
  • Strong knowledge of the Engineering Insurance market and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • High level of data literacy and strategic thinking.
