Experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor

At Red King Resourcing, we are seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Vehicle Damage Assessor to evaluate the extent of damage to vehicles involved in accidents or claims. This role requires close collaboration with insurance companies, repair shops, and customers to provide accurate damage assessments and ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle repair processes, an eye for detail, and excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Vehicle Inspections: Perform thorough on-site and in-shop inspections of damaged vehicles to assess and document damage, identifying damage types (structural, mechanical, cosmetic) and determining if the vehicle is repairable or a total loss.
- Damage Reports: Produce detailed, accurate reports including photographs, written descriptions, and cost estimates for repairs, ensuring compliance with insurance company standards and regulations.
- Repair Cost Estimating: Utilize industry-standard software to prepare repair estimates based on assessed damage, considering parts, labor, and associated costs. Provide accurate breakdowns for approval by insurance companies or clients.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, repair shops, and insurance adjusters regarding vehicle condition and repair options. Offer guidance and recommendations for repairs or total loss decisions. Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspections, assessments, and communication for future reference and auditing purposes. Submit paperwork on time, adhering to company and insurance policies.
- Insurance Liaison: Collaborate with insurance companies to review and approve repair costs, facilitating smooth and efficient claims processing. Assist with dispute resolution regarding repair estimates or total loss decisions.
- Vehicle Appraisal: Provide professional appraisals for accident-involved vehicles, determining market value before and after the incident. Assess whether repair or replacement is the best financial option for the insurance company or customer.
Estimated Salary: $62,500 - $82,500 per year
