About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanical Assistant to join our team at Tillicoultry Quarries. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our quarrying operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine and statutory inspections, maintenance, and repairs to VOSA standards.
  • Assist in preparing vehicles for MOT testing.
  • Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform HGV wheel changes and manage tyre maintenance.
Requirements
  • Proven mechanical knowledge and experience working with HGVs.
  • Experience working with heavy plant equipment.
  • A willingness to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to work regular overtime.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually on their own initiative.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality standards to our customers.
  • Full driving license. Class 1/2 license advantageous but not essential.
