About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Associate Practitioner to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently and accountably as part of a team of clinicians offering 24-hour mental health access and information in the locality of the Trust.
  • Act as a role model to other colleagues within the team and work collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, clinicians, and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Deliver high-quality, effective operational service to people with mental health needs, in accordance with the principles and objectives of the Trust and its vision.
  • Rotate in taking the lead role in the physical health needs of service users and therapeutic activities.
  • Provide training in aspects of care to new starters on the unit.

Requirements

  • Essential skills and knowledge include the ability to work flexibly, undertake a change in role at short notice, and participate in managerial supervision.
  • Desirable skills and knowledge include experience in mental health care, knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983, and awareness of the needs of carers of patients with mental health problems.
