About Our Team

Oakbank Care Home is a luxurious care home located in Crieff, Scotland, providing personalized Residential, Dementia, Nursing, Palliative and Respite Care to 70 residents. We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our exceptional team.

Salary Details

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £20.50-£22.50 per hour, with opportunities for overtime. Additionally, they will receive a welcome bonus of £1,000 after the first three months and another £1,000 after completing the six-month probation period for night shifts, or £500 each for day shifts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Craft personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • E nsure accuracy by observing daily interactions and conditions, ensuring all care documentation is precise and easily understood by the team.
  • Lead with confidence by organizing and guiding your team to deliver top-notch care.
  • Facilitate seamless transitions by overseeing shift handovers and ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
  • Monitor health by performing routine observations and managing specific health needs.
  • Administer medications safely and adhere to MAR sheets and protocols.
  • Build relationships by fostering strong, trusting relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote independence by supporting residents in daily activities and encouraging autonomy while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
  • Act on feedback by being responsive to team input and prioritizing resident health and well-being.
  • Champion respect by upholding the dignity and individuality of every resident and advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Encourage engagement by facilitating social interactions and activities that enrich the lives of residents and create a vibrant community.
  • Prioritize safety by maintaining a vigilant eye on health and safety and ensuring a secure environment for all.
  • Support nutrition by advocating for balanced nutrition and hydration and monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
  • Respond to emergencies by being prepared to act swiftly and utilizing reflective practices to continually improve our care.

About You

  • You're a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN.
  • While care home experience is a plus, what really matters is your passion for care and dedication to improving the lives of our residents.
  • You have a natural ability to connect with people and bring warmth, understanding, and a calm, patient demeanor to every interaction.
  • Communication is your superpower whether you're talking with a resident about their needs, updating a family member, or guiding your care team, you do it with clarity, empathy, and respect.
